A kayak. A paddle. A coastline. That’s where it begins. A kayak. A paddle. An eddy.

That’s where it begins.

Operating since 2017

every day discover yourself

We design outdoor experiences — quiet, vivid, sometimes silly, always human.

Most days you’ll find us on the water — around Budva, on Skadar Lake, or somewhere in between. But EDDY isn’t tied to one spot. We explore all across Montenegro, from calm river bends to open sea. Sometimes it’s a short paddle before breakfast, sometimes it’s a multi-day journey in sit-in kayaks, with tents, maps, and good stories by the fire.

EDDY Guides

Guide Vasilii Bagrikov — with a kayak on the shore

Vasilii Bagrikov

Conceived in a tent by a mountain river. Born in St. Petersburg, where the Gulf of Finland meets the pine forests of the rocky Karelian Isthmus. Ever since, wherever life has taken him, the sea, forest, and mountains have remained essential and deeply cherished parts of his world. In the wild, Vasilii feels at home, in his natural habitat, in the gentle arms of Mother Nature.

He has sailed over 2,000 nautical miles as a crew member aboard Rocinante, a two-masted ketch, journeying from the Baltic Sea to the Canary Islands. Served as a captain’s mate on whale and dolphin watching tours. Guided multi-day hiking expeditions through the volcanoes of Kamchatka.

Guide Rodion Masalyuk — portrait in the mountains

Rodion Maskalyuk

Born and raised in Crimea, it was impossible not to be shaped by the stunning natural beauty — towering mountains and the endless Black Sea. Rodion’s journey began as a dockworker and led him to become a certified sea kayaking guide, specializing in multi-day expeditions. Over five years in water tourism, he completed numerous trips along both the Crimean and Turkish coastlines.

During two years in Turkey, he trained under the international standards of ISKGA (International Sea Kayak Guide Association), completing modules in Incident Management, Expedition Skills, and Sea Survival under the mentorship of Lee Waters.

Guide Kirill Timofeev - floating in a kayak

Kirill Timofeev

Born far from the sea but always drawn to the horizon. At 25, Taras has already lived two lives — one on the quiet trails of distant coasts, the other in the vast engine rooms of the open ocean. He has paddled along the rugged shores of Crimea and the warm, pine-scented coastline of southern Turkey, gaining real expedition experience through his own curiosity and persistence.

When not guiding from a kayak, he works as a certified seafarer aboard international tankers, crossing entire seas on long and demanding voyages.

For Taras, the sea is both a calling and a constant. Whether it’s a calm morning tour or a night shift under a star-filled sky, he moves with focus, confidence, and deep respect for the elements. Adventure is not a side of his life — it is the heart of it.

Guide Stepan Demchenko — in a kayak with a guest

Stepan Demchenko

Stepan grew up by the sea and has spent most of his life on the water — first working with dolphins for over a decade, then shifting into kayak and SUP guiding.

For the past three years, he’s led small groups along remote coastal routes he knows by heart — always tuned in to the weather, the water, and the rhythm of the team. His style blends solid technical skills with a deep feel for the environment and group dynamics.

Red Cross certified as a lifeguard, he keeps a steady focus on safety, bringing a calm, professional presence to every trip — and always a story or two along the way.

Guide Anton Tougarin — paddling on the Lake Skadar

Anton Tougarin

Anton has been drawn to an active life since childhood — football, martial arts, swimming, survival schools. He didn’t just try things, he dove straight into whatever felt exciting and a little risky.

His paddling journey began not with calm waters, but with cold mountain rivers, rain, and real fear. But in that rush of current and fog, he found a deep love for the water. Now Anton leads kayak tours on Lake Skadar, turning his rugged experience into calm, beautiful adventures.

Fun fact: Anton throws axes professionally — and does it with the same confidence he brings on the water. The only ones more reliable? Maybe the Baywatch crew.

Built by people, not a logo

EDDY is run by guides, paddlers, artists, and friends. Some of us are certified kayakers and seafarers; others are designers, DJs, and musicians.
And all of us know how to fix a kayak and make even nervous first‑timers feel at home on the water.
We don’t believe in a polished, distant brand voice. What you see here is us and if it feels honest and warm, we’re on the right track.

No office. Just the water

There’s just a dock, phones, and a team that texts each other at 6am about the wind.

Small company. Big care

Everything you see — the photos, the texts, the logo, the routes, even the site itself — is made by us.

And when you message us on Instagram, it's one of us replying. Probably while balancing a paddle on one and and a coffee in the other.
